About The Position

The Continuous Improvement (CI) role at Ardagh Metal Packaging involves leading the CI program at the Weissenthurm location in collaboration with the plant management team. The position requires oversight and guidance for all continuous improvement initiatives within the plant, supporting the continuous improvement strategy in partnership with business leaders and key operations leadership. The role focuses on identifying major opportunities for improvement and promoting a culture of best practices through data-driven decisions, systems thinking, and various statistical tools. Additionally, the CI manager will manage the CI project portfolio, report on progress against objectives and KPIs, and serve as a project manager to assist with project execution and resource identification. Training and coaching local employees in Lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies are also key responsibilities, along with process optimization and analysis to track plant initiatives and improve performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the CI program in the location working in conjunction with the plant management team.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for all continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.
  • Support continuous improvement strategy in partnership with business leaders and key operations leadership.
  • Identify major opportunities for the plant to improve and promote the Ardagh Best Practice culture.
  • Drive best practices and cost-saving activities/projects.
  • Manage the CI project portfolio of the location and report on progress against Objectives & KPIs.
  • Serve as a project manager, assist with project execution, provide functional input, and identify functional resources.
  • Train local employees, e.g. Green/Yellow Belt, and coach them during training relevant projects.
  • Deliver AMPS/CI training when required, including Lean tools and Six Sigma.
  • Detect and track plant initiatives and report on their status, cycle times, savings achieved, and other relevant metrics.
  • Assist plant management team to identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Perform data analyses as part of an integrated program of process control and designed experimentation.
