The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead to work at our facility in Springfield, MO. Ideal candidates must be motivated to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment. This position requires individuals to perform duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Under the direction of the Operations Manager and with the support of management staff, the individual will support and own results for clean, inspect, and lube procedures, centerline management system, 5S system, accuracy of process data and loss elimination system. This individual will actively participate in annual planning, weekly PDCA meetings, daily production meetings, and defect elimination. Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc.
  • Supports production area in implementing standard procedures in accordance with KHMS guidance
  • Partners with CI Manager and other CI Leads to ensure common execution of standards across the site
  • Facilitates line loss analysis (waste elimination and yield improvement) and line throughput improvement plans (GE/OEE current/future state)
  • Leads transformation analysis and centerline definition and associated standard development
  • Ensures centerline completion and compliance. Create countermeasures on any outages
  • Analyzes daily and shift line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities
  • Spends time on the floor to capture information on stops, centerlines and changeovers over the past 24 hours
  • Participates in daily production meetings
  • Discusses top stops and associated root causes to assist in building plan for the day
  • Works with Process Owner, and Maintenance Lead to address sporadic losses
  • Leads Universal Problem Solving to eliminate chronic losses for the line
  • Coaches and develops teams by building problem solving skills within the processes
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management
  • Assess past performance vs. Compelling Business Need (CBN), identify priority losses for the year and create action plans to deliver the CBN
  • Coach Equipment Owners (EOs) on the floor to ensure individual goals are achieved
  • Drive Plan, Do Check, Act (PDCA) improvement cycles for business results and capability growth
  • Complete standard Daily Direction Setting (DDS) cycle
  • Coach organization on importance of adherence to standards
  • Coach all levels of the organization on critical Daily Management Systems (DMSs) (hands on, actual usage)
  • Implement and coach Safety & Quality Fundamentals
  • Review incident investigations and ensure the actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Support supply chain loss analysis/elimination. Tackle process instability problems
  • Coach necessity and use of Loss to Zero (L2Z)
  • Drive cultural change by owning the organization renewal cycle
  • Identify Skill gaps in organization - address using task-based training approach
  • Coach use of Standard Work (SW) to eliminate non-value added (NVA) work, coach link to effort reduction
