Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of CORE, continuous improvement, or other lean tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with manufacturing software suites such as CIMCO and Solumina.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 standards and practices, including automation.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing and improving manufacturing processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with leadership to positively influence and lead CORE/CI culture and competency improvement across the organization.
  • Work with leadership to implement operational excellence strategy, driving factory floor management processes and practices.
  • Set objectives and guide others on execution and processes for achieving operational results by eliminating waste, improving product quality, and increasing productivity.
  • Develop methods for identifying, sharing, and implementing best practices across the organization.
  • Measure and drive CORE progression across the organization.
  • Lead and/or facilitate kaizen/CI events including focused leadership weeks.
  • Lead complex projects and site transformation efforts, driving advanced manufacturing solutions.
  • Manage CapEx and cost reduction activities to achieve business goals.
  • Accountable for establishing metrics and ensuring targets are met including event or project closure results achieved.
  • Plan and facilitate tactical application of advanced CORE/CI or other lean tools.
