JOB SUMMARY DISCRIPTION: The Churn Operator will provide oversight of the butter churning process ensuring machines and equipment are operating efficiently and producing safe and quality products. Schedule: 12 hour night shift: 6pm-6am on a 2-2-3 schedule

Requirements

Ability to learn and operate complex production machinery in a safe and efficient manner
Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
Strong time management skills with the ability to complete various tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to read, hear, speak, comprehend, carry out instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Ability to work 12 hour shifts - including holidays and weekends
At least 1 year of experience in a plant production, warehouse, or general labor
High school degree or GED
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
Adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Ability to multitask
Ability to use common math
Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize time
Strong time management skills with ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in food production, manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor environment
Knowledge of evaporators, dryers, pasteurizers, separators and food manufacturing process

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in dairy processing or food and beverage preferred
Food & Beverage Manufacturing operator experience
Dairy Manufacturing experience
Previous experience in dairy processing
High School Diploma would be preferred

Responsibilities

CIP all process equipment and lines
Perform the startup and shutdown functions of process equipment
Perform CIP and process connections
Operate churn and butter filler with parameters and specifications and make adjustments as needed
Keep accurate and legible records
Take and analyze butter samples and make process adjustments
Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately.
