About The Position

General Purpose: To operate churns in efficient and sanitary measure so as to provide product for the fillers as needed

Requirements

  • Good math skills

Responsibilities

  • Pull pasteurized cream inventory as needed and send to lab
  • Plan ahead for proper set up of temperature and aging of pasteurized cream
  • Keep salt solution properly mixed for production
  • Keep churns operating in correct specs
  • Keep accurate and legible records of pasteurized cream, butter production, and added ingredients
  • Keep area clean and loose items picked up
  • Keep lines and ports capped or sealed up
  • Keep board in office updated with information as needed
  • Communicate operations to supervisor and lead
  • Communicate with processors about cream, silos, butter milk, etc
  • Aid in directing the flow of product to specific fillers
  • Clean and CIP equipment as needed
  • Keep self and equipment in a sanitary fashion
  • Check a fill as needed - footbath sanitizer, hand soap dispensers, and paper towels
  • Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Other duties as assigned by management
