About The Position

The Stones River Baptist Church worship team is looking for a pianist to join us for Sunday morning worship. We have a grand piano available or you can bring your own keyboard setup. Our music selections are based on a blended worship environment consisting of modern praise and worship alongside traditional hymns played in a more contemporary presentation. A weekly stipend will be paid in appreciation of your efforts.

Requirements

• HUMBLE, respectful and maintain a consistent good attitude in all aspects of communication and interaction.
• Be a people person; get to know fellow church members and plug into the church community.
• Ability to work under the direction of the Worship Leader and be a good team player.
• Experience in playing worship music of all genres and time periods.
• Ability to read chord charts and lead sheets.
• Ability to do last minute transposition if needed and pick up on live changes.
• Attendance at Sunday morning rehearsal beginning at 8:30am and service at 10:30am.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to sing and lead worship occasionally would be great, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Play piano for Sunday morning worship services.
• Participate in weekly rehearsals starting at 8:30am on Sundays.
• Collaborate with the Worship Leader and other team members.
• Engage with church members and contribute to the church's vision and mission.
• Be available for occasional extra events outside of regular services.
