About The Position

The Church Engagement Manager at Focus on the Family is a dynamic and relational leader responsible for fostering partnerships with local churches to enhance their marriage and parenting initiatives. This role involves recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support the organization's ministry events, ensuring alignment with Focus on the Family's mission and values. The position requires strong emotional intelligence, networking skills, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations to church leaders and community members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or other relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work in marketing, events, trade show, and conference experience.
  • Experience in building remote event delivery and volunteer teams.
  • Proven knowledge of industry marketing operations and event management tools (Aprimo, Marketo, Eventbrite, RegOnline, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Focus mission, philosophy, values, and objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills to people at all levels and responsibilities.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to operate at both relational and tactical levels.
  • Skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and to adapt quickly to change.
  • Competent in use of computer hardware and software; advanced ability with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between Focus on the Family and local churches, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
  • Leads through influence, consultation, and demonstrated expertise in networking within local communities around the Hope Restored locations.
  • Proactively sets face-to-face meetings by calling into local churches to establish and strengthen relationships.
  • Develops and nurtures strategic relationships with church leaders to expand the reach and impact of Focus on the Family.
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities for collaboration and partnership to enhance church engagement and increase revenue from product, service, and event sales.
  • Serves as an effective presenter and spokesperson for Focus on the Family, delivering compelling presentations both on the phone and in person at meetings or booths.
  • Provides consistent, accurate, and effective data by tracking progress and delivering reports.
  • Oversees the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers for external events to ensure effective event execution.
  • Builds up the volunteer database nationwide to ensure sufficient volunteer resources are available for external events as needed.
  • Provides consistent and effective communication and support to the volunteers as well as the FOTF events team to ensure the needs for external events are met with excellence.
  • Participates with the FOTF Events team in post-event debriefs on learnings, best practices, and future adjustments to better achieve outcomes.
