About The Position

The CHRT communications team manages internal communication for the center, such as managing CHRT's website and newsletter and ensuring research is disseminated to appropriate stakeholders. In addition, the team is responsible for numerous grant-funded communications projects with public and private partners. These projects often aim to educate community members about health resources available to them. The Communications Program Manager will be responsible, under general supervision, for management and completion of project deliverables on a variety of topics. Projects include educational presentations, email campaigns, social media campaigns, one pager development, impact reports, flyers, and more. The ideal candidate will have a background in public health and communication and understand trends related to topics such as health equity, behavioral health, community care hubs, and maternal health. The candidate is expected to develop foundational knowledge of project-specific topics, seek guidance from senior team members, and actively learn the principles of project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, public health, social work or related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience (project management, health policy, community engagement, demonstration projects, health data, survey data, health research and analyses or backbone/consulting support)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload under time constraints and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to support project management efforts, including managing processes, ensuring task follow-through, and facilitating communication with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to support project completion within defined guidelines, utilizing effective problem-solving skills to contribute to achieving project goals.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic; demonstrated high level of responsibility and accountability.
  • Willingness to work in a highly interactive and collegial team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in public health, social work, public administration, or related field.
  • Experience with healthcare delivery systems, community-based organizations, behavioral health, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and/or community integrated health networks is strongly preferred.
  • Relative internship or job experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as key informant interviews, survey development, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Canva, Constant Contact, Hootsuite.
  • Experience with monitoring resource utilization, assisting in budget management for small projects or phases, and supporting financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, project partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee projects from development through launch, managing feedback processes with staff and partners.
  • Assist in developing communication project activities.
  • Track project deliverables and timelines.
  • Schedule and participate in team and stakeholder meetings.
  • Document decisions and action items.
  • Support stakeholder communication and coordination, including organizing stakeholder feedback.
  • Manage dissemination of new center publications through email, social media, and collaboration with the media.
  • Manage project budgets and facilitate collaboration with copywriters and graphic designers.
  • Gather and analyze subject data to inform factual deliverables.
  • Write newsletter stories and website content.
  • Write large-scale impact and annual reports.
  • Review content from other teams, such as data visualizations, one pagers, and research reports.
  • Develop one pagers and flyers, and assist with grant writing.
