ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: The Chromebook Support Technician is an entry level position that supports student chromebook devices. They will be required to perform the following:

Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have proven customer service experience
  • Must have organization Skills
  • Must have experience working with Chromebooks or similar devices
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to work outside normal hours or work week
  • Critical thinking and ability to research issues

Responsibilities

  • Keep tech rooms clean and organized
  • Assist students, parents, and teachers with various Chromebook issues over the phone or in person.
  • Manage user accounts
  • Basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
  • Perform repairs on Chromebooks brought to the school
  • Use a ticketing system for accountability and customer service
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service
  • Maintain ongoing inventory and maintain organization of all records
  • Be cheerfully willing to work towards the better good of the school at times even when asked to assist with duties not in your regular work schedule
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and attend designated school functions outside of school hours if asked
  • Follow the GEO Foundation and school policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate
  • Dress professionally when on school grounds
