About The Position
The CHRISTUS Health SkillBridge Internship Program is a collaborative initiative with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) aimed at providing military service members who are within 180 days of separation from military service with valuable opportunities to learn and train in various roles at CHRISTUS Health's facilities. This program is designed to facilitate the transition of service members from military to civilian life by offering them hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. Participants will engage in a range of roles, including but not limited to administrative positions, nursing, and technical support roles, allowing them to gain practical skills and insights into the healthcare industry. As an unpaid internship, participants will not receive compensation or benefits from CHRISTUS Health. Instead, they will remain employees of the DoD and will receive their compensation and benefits through the Department of Defense. This unique structure allows service members to gain experience in a supportive environment while still being connected to their military roots.
