Christian After School Leader (Tyler, TX)
About The Position
The Christian After School Leader's primary role is fostering youth development in an after-school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. This position is with Mentoring Alliance After School, a Christian ministry dedicated to serving kids and students in the community by offering after-school care and activities. The organization's mission is to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families to provide tangible help and eternal hope. Team members are expected to influence, impact, and serve the kids and families in the community, as each staff position is an integral part of the mission and vision. The role is considered first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel. This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week.
Requirements
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Have dependable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Some post-secondary training highly preferred
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
