As a Server at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet required
  • Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions
  • Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations
  • Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as have reliable transportation to and from work

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and explain specials and promotions
  • Thoroughly understand the menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and expected service
  • Deliver all required Service Accents to the guest (e.g., SSA presentation, bread presentation, horseradish/cheese grating, and dessert presentation)
  • Communicate with the culinary and management team throughout duration of shift
  • Address and resolve customer complaints
  • Must be proficient in multi-tasking, have the ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts, and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Record and input guest orders into the POS system
  • Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations
  • Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return
  • Assist in cleaning and resetting dining room tables and booths during and after meal
  • Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
