As a Server at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. Requirements

High school degree or equivalent preferred
One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet required
Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions
Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations
Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred
Maintain a clean and organized environment
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests
Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as have reliable transportation to and from work

Responsibilities

Greet guests and explain specials and promotions
Thoroughly understand the menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and expected service
Deliver all required Service Accents to the guest (e.g., SSA presentation, bread presentation, horseradish/cheese grating, and dessert presentation)
Communicate with the culinary and management team throughout duration of shift
Address and resolve customer complaints
Must be proficient in multi-tasking, have the ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts, and have the ability to work under pressure
Record and input guest orders into the POS system
Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations
Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction
Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return
Assist in cleaning and resetting dining room tables and booths during and after meal
Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments
Perform additional duties as assigned
