As an Expeditor for Geneva ChopHouse at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will deliver efficient and exceptional plated menu items while maintaining a sense of urgency in the execution of the expo line and fast-efficient clearing of tabletops throughout the restaurant. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. Requirements

  • High school or equivalent required
  • One year or more of service assistance experience in a fine dining outlet
  • Able to read, write, and speak in English
  • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel, and general public
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly understand the menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and expected service.
  • Deliver all required Service Accents to the guest (e.g., SSA presentation, bread presentation, horseradish/cheese grating, and dessert presentation)
  • Maintain a neat, clean, organized, safe work environment
  • Transport and polish clean wares, utensils, and accessories to area needed
  • Must be proficient in multi-tasking and bridging the service between the Front of House and Back of House
  • Must comply with opening and closing duties as well as running side work necessities
  • Communicate directly and consistently with the culinary and management team
  • Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding service, product, and personnel
  • Must effectively process service responsibilities from service staff, such as from servers and bartenders
  • Has the ability to verbally describe and present the hotel’s food offerings in a professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
