About The Position
Elmer Chocolate is the oldest family-owned chocolate company in America. Our factory in Ponchatoula is the 2nd-largest manufacturer of Valentine boxed chocolate in North America.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old & pass a drug screen
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to follow & read instructions
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to stand & walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, reach, use force, carry, push/pull, and lift <50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to apply manual dexterity and specified visual acuity
- Some areas require PPE & may cause occasional exposure to higher temperatures
Nice To Haves
- PTEC associate degree preferred
- Experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust automated processes during the candy making procedure.
- Operate and adjust parameters on HMI (Human Machine Interface)
- Troubleshoot and correct minor malfunctions
- Load & Unload candy trays & counter molds
- Operate CIP Equipment
