About The Position

Provides comprehensive critical care nursing services for unstable patients of all ages who require continuous surveillance. This nurse uses critical thinking, technical skills and a holistic approach to implement purposeful and effective action in the face of life-threatening events, and has the interpersonal skills to manage crisis.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current NYS RN license.
• Successful completion of CHMC Chemotherapy course within 1 year of hire.
• Successful completion of PMCS within 6 months of position start date.
• Successful completion of an approved critical care course, and ACLS is required within one year of position start date.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
• One and a half years of medical-surgical nursing experience or similar acute care background.
• Prior nursing experience in an intensive care setting is preferred.
