This is an 8 hour shift. If you start at 6:30a you will work until 2:30p, 7a-3, 8a-4, 10a-6:30p etc. You will perform duties that combine both food preparation and food service, with general functions related to production, sanitation, and customer service. You may specialize as a cafeteria worker, caterer, clerk, cook, or dietary supervisor. Your responsibilities will include arranging tables and decorations, cleaning and organizing eating and service areas, and collecting and returning dirty dishes to the kitchen for washing. You'll need to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers, and accurately document information as needed.
