About The Position

The Ambassador welcomes and assists patients, their families, and visitors entering the hospital. Employees working in this capacity answer questions, provide information, and direct people to the hospital location they need, thus creating an atmosphere in the hospital that is caring, yet efficient. Shifts may vary, including weekends.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or Equivalent.
• Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
• Appropriate written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive customer service skills and ability to manage conflict professionally.
• Strong team player and ability to work independently.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve.
• Flexibility and openness to change.
• Ethical understanding of patient processes, confidentiality, and personal health information (PHI) data, and HIPAA.
• Knowledge of safe techniques and body mechanics for safe patient handling and transporting patients.
