About The Position
Atrium Health Levine Children's is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician to join their team of 75 + providers, working at two of our 5 Pediatric Hospitalist locations in the greater Charlotte area. This is a wonderful chance to join the leadership team while working virtually from home and at the region's premier children's hospital with exposure to a wide range of inpatient cases. Atrium Health Virtual Hospital is one of the first in the nation to deliver in-home hospital based care. Patients are admitted from EDs and inpatient services across the Greater Charlotte Region into the program. Patients are cared for with 24-hour virtual pediatric nursing, twice daily on-site paramedicine team, and 24-hour virtual physician coverage. Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital (LCH) is a 277 bed quaternary care teaching hospital serving the greater Charlotte region and beyond. In addition to a full complement of pediatric specialty services, Levine Children's Hospital features a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and an on-site Pediatric Rehabilitation Facility. LCH is consistently ranked among the Best Children's Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Levine Children's Hospital serves as the clinical training site for the CMC Pediatric Residency Program as well as medical students from the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Opportunities for faculty appointment and advancement are available through the Wake Forest School of Medicine commensurate with experience. Support for clinical research and quality improvement is available to interested candidates. The highly anticipated opening of the Wake Forest School of Medicine - Charlotte Campus in 2024 will provide additional opportunities for education, quality improvement and clinical research.
