Commerce Casino, the world's largest card casino, is seeking a dedicated individual for the Chip Counting/Inventory position. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the casino's operations by ensuring accurate counting and handling of chips and cash transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for counting all chips in each set of collection boxes, recording accurate counts onto count sheets, and reconciling amounts with another team member. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints, as counts must be performed according to a set schedule. In addition to chip counting, the role involves selling chips at the Chip Window, assisting casino personnel with various collection boxes, and informing the count room supervisor of any inaccuracies or problems encountered during the counting process. The candidate will also be responsible for rolling up coins as needed and ensuring that all racks and chips are washed regularly. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at various times throughout the shift and assisting team members in moving heavy box carts. The position requires a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates must possess excellent math skills, legible handwriting, and hand dexterity. A professional appearance and a positive, enthusiastic approach to all assignments are essential. Attendance and punctuality are critical components of this role, and the ability to resolve conflicts and communicate effectively with all levels of employees is necessary. A general knowledge of Windows-based computer operating systems is also required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of cash handling experience.
