About The Position

The Epoch Times is seeking experienced China News Reporters to cover breaking news and feature stories related to China's economy, finance, markets, and human rights issues. This role involves crafting compelling articles and pitching timely pieces that align with current news developments, focusing on the Chinese regime's global ambitions and the dynamics of China-U.S. competition.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional journalism experience with a focus on reporting China-related news, including economic and financial news.
• Strong news judgment and adherence to excellent journalism ethics.
• Good knowledge of AP Style.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Chinese reading and listening comprehension skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pitch compelling stories that resonate with both national and international audiences.
• Deliver comprehensive China-focused topics in a fast-paced news environment.
• Conduct interviews and maintain communication with economists, financial analysts, and other relevant experts as needed.
• Write with clarity and conciseness while meeting tight deadlines.

Benefits

• Pay range per article (800+ words) is between $150 and $250.
