About The Position

This position installs, repairs, and maintains gas, wood, pellet stoves, fireplaces, and hot tubs for all customers. Fireplace and Hot Tub service technician works independently at all job sites to ensure install or repair completion and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of the use of dollies and mechanical fireplace and hot tub moving equipment.
• Familiarity with all ladder safety requirements.
• Maintain a valid driving license.
• Provide Company with Maryland Driving Record when requested.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Maintain Factory Training Certifications and attend classes as needed.
• Willingness to submit to Drug and Alcohol testing when requested.

Responsibilities

• Self-manage the following on all job sites: installation, service, repair, maintenance and testing tasks as required.
• Unload and load materials and equipment on/off trucks and in/out of job sites on a regular basis.
• Communicate in detail with Service Coordinators and Hearth Category Management.
• Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service fireplace and hot tub equipment.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems with products efficiently.
• Use mechanical assistance when physical methods are not practical.
• Safely climb and work off ladders.
• Acquire and maintain NFI Specialist Certification in pellet, wood and gas.
• Complete ongoing Hot tub training.
• Understand all manufacturers' install requirements and venting clearances.
• Follow company field procedures and protocols.
• Comprehend company policy on warranty, trip charge and chargeable service calls.
• Provide daily detailed service reports.
• Abide by company non-solicitation agreement.
• Report any misuse of company time and monies.
• Maintain service parts inventory in storage room, warehouse and truck.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Operate company vehicle safely.
• Track and organize vehicle maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
