CCS Construction Staffing is seeking an experienced Chiller Technician for a direct hire position in Corpus Christi, TX. This role requires advanced technical expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial chiller systems, with a focus on centrifugal and screw chillers.

  • Install new centrifugal chillers and related components (pumps, piping, etc.) and perform system startup and commissioning.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on chiller systems, including mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant components.
  • Diagnose and repair compressors, controls, pumps, and other system components using advanced diagnostic tools and OEM-specific software.
  • Apply knowledge of water-side and air-side systems, building automation systems, and complex mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair reports, and inspection records.
  • Follow OSHA job site safety standards, refrigerant handling protocols, and other applicable regulations.
  • Deliver timely, accurate service while building strong relationships with clients and clearly explaining work performed.
  • Proven experience in commercial/industrial HVAC, with expertise in centrifugal and screw chillers
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, including pumps, motors, and compressors
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, gauges, and precision measuring equipment
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and OEM-specific software for multiple chiller manufacturers
  • Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
