The Chiller Technician is our highest level of Service Technician. The Chiller Technician is capable of diagnosing and repairing all levels of HVAC equipment (all proficiencies of a Service Technician III), including very large and sophisticated chiller plants. The Chiller Technician has at least two certifications in the repair of chiller plants such as McQuay or Daiken and is capable of complete teardowns and rebuilds of the plants. Over 5 years field experience plus specialized training. Must possess a valid drivers license and have a clean driving record Identify, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations via dispatcher: Unitary products [anything from 1 ton mini splits to 50 ton package units] Trouble shoot VFDs, Control issues, Change compressors perform Maintenance Boilers Perform Combustion Analysis, Trouble shoot water and air flow issues. Repair and verify correct operation of boilers. Chillers Diagnose Compressor, motor and starter issues with Wye Delta, AFD and solid state starters, Tear down and rebuild as necessary compressors, oil pumps and starters. Perform leak searches on low pressure chillers, Megha-Ohm compressor motors. Experience in Turbor Core and Centrifugal compressors a plus. Trouble shoot water flow issues control issues related to chiller operation. Control Valves Trouble shoot signal and control issues related to control valves. Heat Exchangers Trouble shoot water flow issues and determine deficiencies in performance issues. Tear down, clean and reassemble with new gaskets.
