About The Position

This role involves implementing lesson plans, assisting the lead teacher with assessments and developmental screenings, and maintaining a caring, inclusive, safe, and healthy classroom environment. The teacher is responsible for practicing active supervision, sanitizing materials, and ensuring compliance with ODJFS Child Care Licensing Rules. Key responsibilities also include creating and maintaining an account on the Ohio Professional Registry with annual training, communicating daily with families about their child's progress and wellbeing, and monitoring children for illness and medical needs. The position offers a $3000 sign-on bonus for external talent, paid out in two installments.

Requirements

  • Career Pathways Level (CPL) 3
  • 1+ years in a licensed child care setting
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Knowledge of child development and Ohio’s Child Care Licensing rules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families and children of all ages
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft office products
  • Web navigation including for online training purposes
  • Virtual meeting programs such as zoom
  • Ability to email, print and scan documents and photos
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) First Aid and Communicable Disease Management training (Required within 90 Days)
  • Child Abuse Recognition training (Required within 60 Days)
  • Maintain current Professional Development Certificate in the Ohio Professional Registry

Nice To Haves

  • Child Development Associates (CDA) Credential or 9 credits of college coursework in early childhood education or related field

Responsibilities

  • Monitor children for illness and medical needs to prevent and respond to medical emergencies
  • Remain compliant ODJFS Child Care Licensing Rules at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.

Benefits

  • Sign on Bonus - $3000 for external talent. Paid out half at 90 days, half at 1 year.
