About The Position
The Greater Waco YMCA is seeking an energetic, responsible, team- oriented individual to provide a fun and safe atmosphere in our ChildWatch area for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We are offering a $260 bonus for new employees! Thank you for your interest in the YMCA of Central Texas!
Requirements
- Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be certified in CPR and First Aid within first 30 days of employment
- Individual must be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, sex-offender check, and criminal history check
Responsibilities
- Nurtures children through purposeful activities dedicated to building relationships with each child.
- Supervise children in the Child Watch classroom, game room and all activities appropriately.
- Follows all procedures and standards for maintaining a safe environment.
- Makes ongoing observations of the children and has the ability to maneuver from one location to another quickly and easily
- Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents
- Maintains program site and equipment in an orderly manner
- Maintains required program records
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities
