About The Position

The Children's Ministry Director at Restoration Park Church is responsible for fulfilling the church's vision by ensuring that the mission of revealing Christ and restoring people is enacted in the lives of children from birth to 5th grade. This role involves creating a nurturing environment for children to experience service, worship, scripture, and mission, while also managing the children's ministry and collaborating with other church staff.

Responsibilities

• Annually review and develop goals for Children's Ministry.
• Develop an annual teaching/event calendar.
• Plan Children's ministry events such as Baby dedication, VBS, and Baptism Class for 4th/5th graders.
• Pick and develop curriculum for children's ministry.
• Work with Associate Pastor, Junior High Director, and High School Director to maintain RPC's Birth-Graduation discipleship plan.
• Manage the children's ministry budget.
• Recruit, train, and equip volunteers for children's ministry.
• Ensure all volunteers maintain updated background checks.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for child safety.
• Maintain a healthy ministry culture for children and volunteers.
• Order and prep supplies for classrooms or oversee volunteers doing so.
• Oversee cleanliness and order of classrooms and supply closets.
• Involve the congregation in children's ministry activities.
• Equip parents to participate in the discipleship of their children.
• Oversee children's ministry worship activities.
• Align with the church's vision and collaborate with staff on events and ministry development.
• Maintain regular office hours (M-TH).
• Oversee the part-time children's ministry assistant.
