About The Position

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night programming for children from birth to 6th grade.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers and maintain communication with parents.
• Choose and develop curriculum and provide necessary materials for volunteers.
• Teach God's Word to children and adults under your leadership.
• Develop strategy for whole family discipleship and new believer discipleship.
• Contact all visitors during the week following their visit to the church.
• Oversee annual programs such as VBS and camp.
• Provide opportunities for children to accept Christ and counsel them in the decision-making process.
• Establish safety protocols and develop a system for background checks.
• Develop an annual budget for the Children's Ministry and oversee expenditures.
• Create opportunities to reach unchurched families in the community.
• Provide mission opportunities for children to serve.
• Provide pastoral care to children and their families.
• Communicate with families and the community using technology and social media.
• Maintain proper facility care in the children's department.
