About The Position

The Children's Ministry Director at Active Church is responsible for overseeing the direction and supervision of the children's ministry, ensuring it aligns with the church's mission to develop fully devoted followers of Christ. This role involves creating engaging programs, training volunteers, and fostering connections between families and the church community. The director will lead the planning and execution of events, manage the ministry calendar, and develop strategies to enhance family involvement and spiritual growth among children.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience with children
• Event planning skills
• Leadership skills
• Teaching experience
• Typing skills (1 year preferred)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the overall direction and supervision of the Ministry calendar.
• Meet and communicate regularly with ministry and church leaders to provide information and evaluate the Ministry.
• Lead the process to create the ministry yearly calendar with clear rationale for each program and event.
• Develop and execute strategies that will grow the ministry each year, including training opportunities.
• Create engaging monthly environments that gather individuals through worship, teaching, connection, and services.
• Develop systems and environments that ensure everyone is connected in a life group.
• Develop a thriving program that partners with parents in discipling their students.
• Create systems that connect new families/students and streamline check-in processes.
• Oversee weekly weekend ministry experience and conduct a high-energy kids church.
• Plan and execute special events including community outreaches and kids baptism orientations.
