About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The Children's Ski/Snowboard Instructor is an entry-level or experienced position that supports the daily operations of the Rosebud’s Children Ski/Snowboard School while providing high-quality instruction to children aged 4 to 12. This role involves teaching the fundamentals of skiing or snowboarding in a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment, while also assisting with day-to-day operational tasks to help ensure the ski school runs smoothly. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Required: Ability to ski and/or snowboard at an intermediate level. Required: Ability to teach beginner level Skier and Snowboarders. Required: Must be able to work the majority of the 25/26 Holiday Dates: November 26 th – 30 th , December 20 th – January 4 th , January 17 th – 19 th , and February 14 th – 22 nd . Required: Excellent English communication skills. Required: Must be able to pass a background check. Required: Excellent customer service and organizational skills. Required: Ability to work with people of all ages, especially children. Required: Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks. Preferred: Entry level or experience instructing others how to ski/snowboard. Preferred: Able to work 3+ days per week. CONTACTS INTERNAL: Ski School Instructors, All inside staff EXTERNAL: All guest of Mt Rose. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate effectively to staff regarding policies and procedures. Assist in Course registration as needed. Teach Rosebuds lessons as assigned. Observe all applicable safety standards. Assist in general operation of all Rosebud activity. Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as necessary in the completion of the above essential duties. Provide information and answer questions about the resort to resort guests. Any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operation and all of the tasks contained therein. Set up/take down of Ski School staging areas. Shovel/snow removal as needed. Operation of both Conveyor Belts. Complete all required paperwork: Class cards, time sheets, incident reports etc. Attend assigned trainings. Assist in preparing lesson plans for upcoming lessons.
