About The Position

Neonatal/Pediatric/NICU Transport RRT: Primarily work with high risk newborn/pediatric patients in the Intensive Care Nursery and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The Respiratory therapist may be required to interact with staff in outlying hospitals either as a member of the maternal child health transport team or as a regional referral center information source. The Respiratory Care Neonatal / Pediatric Specialist is responsible for helping with transport coverage to include last minute scheduling to ensure transport coverage at all times. This RRT position acts as a role model, resource and coach to the respiratory staff, physicians, and ancillary departments. This position is expected to integrate the respiratory care of the patient with other care providers to achieve desired results. They are responsible for the proper documentation of all patient records and department logs. In addition, they are responsible for keeping abreast of technological advances in applicable areas and are well versed in appropriate clinical applications.

Requirements

  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • 200241, 400241: State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General supervisor of Point of Care required within 6 months of hire.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required.
  • AHA ACLS & PALS required with-in 6 months, and ongoing thereafter.
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
