About The Position
Under general supervision, the Innovation Specialist will perform programmatic and operational duties to provide consultation, technical assistance, and training to change makers developing social innovations and other novel initiatives. This role will also contribute to and lead special projects, including those related to execution of the five-year strategic plan, and produce products and other written materials such as blogs and project summaries. The Innovation Specialist will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, such as but not limited to the Help Me Grow National Center and Injury Prevention Center. They will also support the North Hartford Ascend Pipeline, a place-based, cross-sector initiative integrating schools, community, and social services to help children and families living in Clay Arsenal, Northeast, and Upper Albany reach their full potential by: 1) supporting a coordinated pipeline of services; 2) supporting a parent-, family-, and community-driven agenda; 3) embracing targeted universalism to achieve equity; 4) strengthening families' protective factors; 5) supporting early identification, referral, and linkage to community and social services and supports; and 6) supporting data collection and analysis to monitor.
