About The Position

This position administers front line, effective customer service on Three Square’s mobile food distribution routes for the Summer Food Service Program (Meet Up and Eat Up). This position serves as a coordinator serving meals directly to children, as well as helping with other administrative tasks of the program, and ultimately helping further the mission of ending hunger in our community. This position will be responsible for counting, loading, and distributing meals to children at Meet Up and Eat Up sites, as well as driving the meal delivery van, setting up equipment at meal distribution sites, and helping with other in-office tasks as necessary.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license, along with clean driving record.
Experience working with and engaging with children in a programmatic setting.
Must be comfortable driving a refrigerated van or similar vehicle
Critical thinking, basic math to include adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences and emails.
Must possess strong attention to detail.
Actively listen to others and demonstrate understanding of other points of view.
Consistently provide ideas, opinions, or information in an articulate, professional way.
Must have ability to maintain constructive relationships, demonstrate respect for everyone and have experience working with diverse populations.

Safe driving record, current vehicle insurance and the ability to use their personal vehicle for business at off-site locations.
Employee must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Must possess outstanding communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to present and respond to questions and/or feedback from groups of Program Partners, children and the general public is needed.
Must be able to exercise leadership in various external relationships.
Requires the ability to respond in a timely manner to the needs and requests of others internally and externally, ability to determine tasks, set priorities and goals, manage multiple projects with attention to detail, handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work.

Responsibilities

Distribute meals to children at designated sites on Three Squares mobile routes with high attention to customer service.
Count and load meals into the van and unload any remaining meals and document them appropriately.
Ensure the van is kept clean at all times, with all required signage clearly displayed inside for participants. Additionally, ensure all necessary supplies, such as gloves and trash bags, are consistently stocked in the van, along with the meals.
Track meals accurately and appropriately at meal distribution through the use of Link2feed.
Communicate and problem solve with fellow Coordinators to ensure smooth meal service at each Meet Up and Eat Up location.
Advocate and solve problems and ensure concerns and issues have been followed up on and resolved. Communicate larger issues with supervisor.
Gather information/data routinely for interdepartmental use or other reporting requests.
Maintain required job knowledge and skills and core professional competencies. Attend and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings as needed.
Work with team to continuously improve customer service and Program Partner and client satisfaction.
Manage confidential information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
