About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. This role involves guiding toddlers through their early learning experiences, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth, and ensuring a positive classroom atmosphere. Prior experience in childcare, preschool settings, or daycare environments is highly valued. The successful candidate will possess strong classroom management skills and a deep understanding of childhood development principles.

Requirements

Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred.
Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early childhood education.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young children effectively.
Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members.
Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs.
Reliable, patient, organized, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for toddlers.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning.
Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment tailored to toddlers’ needs.
Engage children in educational activities that support social skills, language development, motor skills, and emotional regulation.
Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers as needed.
Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards.
Support children's physical needs through diapering, feeding, and comforting as necessary.
Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and maintain an organized classroom setting.
Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times, including first aid procedures when necessary.
