About The Position

As a Childcare Teacher at Guiding Hands, you’ll help care for children. You’ll provide a safe and loving environment that nurtures the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child. You might even assist in other classrooms while classroom teacher is on lunch break. Provides a safe and compassionate environment while parents meet their financial responsibilities Shows and teaches God's love for all Teaches social and emotional skills to all children to aid them in self-regulation At Guiding Hands Christian Academy and Childcare, it is important that each person that enters our doors are shown God's love. We teach about God, our creator, as well as social/emotional skills and age appropriate development. The two curriculums that we teach from are "Faith Stories" and "Frog Street" with Conscious Discipline. We run our program under the following values: Family, Fun, Integrity, Compassion and Learning. Requirements

Strong verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable and excels with speaking to parents
Energetic, nurturing, positive, child-friendly personality
Shows initiative; strong work ethic
High school diploma

Responsibilities

Creates lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels
Document learning experience through displays and pictures
Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis
Maintains a safe, comforting and stimulating environment for all children
Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards
Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding, fast-paced environment
