Childcare Teacher Substitute of Preschool
About The Position
Assist Childcare Director in implementing age appropriate programs to include cognitive activities, arts/crafts, games, music etc., to aid in developing gross motor skills, self- esteem and social interaction in a warm, caring and safe environment. Assist in leading, teaching and demonstrating all activities. Assist with supervision of participants at all times during hours of program; establish and carry out consistent rules and guidelines concerning behavioral problems in a timely manner; notify supervisor of any situations involving an accident or emergency, facility problems or any problems involving participants, staff, or parents. Maintain compliance with childcare licensing regulations. Responsible for promoting positive public relations and image for the CityNECESSARY DOCUMENTS: Infant/Child CPR, first aid, medical report with TB test (done within 6 months of hire date). Criminal Background Clearance for the City of Rockville. Over 20 years of age. Employer documentation of experience.

- Working with children for 400 hours (school age) or 1 year (preschool) in a childcare or recreational setting with the applicable age group. Or 1 year college or combination work and college to equal one year.
- High School diploma or equivalent, six credits (90 hours) for preschool, 3 credits (45 hours) for school age, of approved course work focused on applicable age group of children.
