About The Position
We are looking for a fun, compassionate, and dedicated Childcare Specialist to plan children’s activities and provide childcare for children who have been impacted by relationship violence and/or sexual assault at the agency non-residential office and emergency shelter. Denton County Friends of the Family, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. This position is grant-funded and will continue only if sufficient grant or external funds are available.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to easily climb stairs
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children
- Bilingual in Spanish
Responsibilities
- Train and supervise childcare interns and volunteers as needed
- Coordinate age appropriate children’s activities and childcare
- Provide support for parents of child and adolescent victims
- Ensure needed supplies are available
- Keep childcare rooms clean and organized
- Set limits as needed to ensure safety for all children
- Monitor children at all times.
- Participate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requested
