Position Summary: This person will provide a safe and structured environment as well as provide for the physical needs of the children receiving services in the Emergency Shelter. Role and Responsibilities This person’s job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide for the physical needs of the children Prepare, or arrange for, daily meals and snacks Follow direction from Team Leaders and Supervisors Maintain a safe and structured home environment Work with other staff to coordinate children’s transportation to extracurricular activities Provide transportation for children as needed Accompany children to all activities and assist other staff in engaging children in the activities Mindfully integrate the Trauma Informed Care Model and Person-Centered Approach into all procedures, practices, and daily interactions Supervise proper hygiene routines General housekeeping including laundry, upkeep of bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas Attend staff meetings and in-services as required Be available and flexible to accommodate scheduling needs, in both the Shelter and Group Homes All other duties as requested by Supervisor
