The Childcare Site Leader for Before and After School programs at YMCA of Florida's First Coast is responsible for developing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children in care. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with licensure and YMCA policies, and fostering individual growth and development among children. The Site Leader will interact effectively with staff, parents, and supervisors while adhering to written budgets and maintaining accurate records. The position requires a commitment to the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, and aims to create a positive and safe environment for children and staff alike. In this role, the Site Leader will monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. They will supervise and schedule staff to ensure adequate supervision of children and effective implementation of activities. The Site Leader will also maintain written records for each child and staff member, ensuring that all documentation is current and compliant with regulations. Additionally, they will plan and implement a curriculum of developmentally appropriate activities in collaboration with staff and supervisors, and will be responsible for procuring necessary supplies for these activities. Regular meetings with staff and supervisors will be scheduled to ensure effective communication and collaboration. The Site Leader will also maintain awareness of budgets for revenue and expenses, making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial guidelines. They will foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, including children, parents, and the community, and will actively seek feedback from participants to improve the program. The role requires a high level of professional ethics and the ability to model appropriate behaviors for staff under supervision. The Site Leader must also pass a Level 2 Background Screening and remain informed about any changes in policies and procedures.
