Childcare Kitchen Assistant
About The Position
The Kitchen Assistant prepares nutritious snacks and lunches for preschool students. Schedule This part time position is typically scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. About The J The J is committed to creating a diverse environment. Requirements
- Ability to follow directions
- Able to count, sort and organize inventory
- Willing to learn to use basic kitchen equipment
- Willing to learn basic food preparation skills
- Ability to stand for at least duration of daily shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances
- Dexterity to type, serve, cut, lift, write and use hands and legs to complete the tasks of the position
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Counting, sorting and portioning snacks and lunch items for preschool students (no cooking required)
- Delivering food to preschool classrooms
- General kitchen cleaning, dishwashing and organization
- Process and organize weekly food deliveries
