About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt LOCATION: Quinton Township Elementary School in Quinton, NJ POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff PAY: $15.92 per hour HOURS: 6:45 - 8:30 am and 2:45 - 5:45 pm Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.

Requirements

• Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualification options: Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate. Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and Nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or development.
• You have medical clearance to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
• You bring a warm, friendly, and positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members.
• You are professional, dependable, and punctual.
• You are able to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
• Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
• Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment. Together, you will ensure high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving.
