About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Director to lead and guide our preschool community. The Director will oversee daily operations while ensuring the integrity of the Northstar philosophy in every classroom. This role requires a balance of strong leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for early childhood education.

Requirements

3–5 years of leadership experience in a school setting.
Proven track record in building enrollment and retaining families.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Passion for supporting children’s independence, curiosity, and natural love of learning.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support staff to deliver early childhood education.
Ensure principles are upheld in classroom environments, materials, and daily practices.
Oversee daily operations, including curriculum implementation, classroom observations, and scheduling.
Drive enrollment growth by conducting tours, clearly communicating the benefits of early childhood education, and engaging with prospective families.
Strengthen family retention by building relationships, providing excellent communication, and ensuring consistency in the Northstar experience.
Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and best practices.
Manage budgets, staffing, and resources while prioritizing classroom quality and safety.
Support professional development for teachers.
Ensure classrooms and common areas reflect a safe, organized, and prepared environment consistent with state standards.
