About The Position

Do you love kids, cooking , and driving? We are looking for a patient, attentive ROCKSTAR to cook and transport our children to and from school. Join our dedicated team at Magic Memories, where we prioritize safety, health, and nurturing care for every child. We are seeking a skilled Cook, Bus/Van Driver, and Classroom Support to join our team. This position involves preparing healthy, fresh meals tailored to individual needs and sensitivities, safely transporting children, and providing support in our classrooms.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of working in food preparation or cooking
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience (family childcare experience does not qualify)
  • Knowledge of physical, emotional, and developmental patterns in children
  • Sensitivity to the individual and group needs of children
  • Evidence of a safe driving record for the previous 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Cooking Prepare healthy, fresh meals tailored to individual needs, adhering to Health Department, ServSafe, and CACFP guidelines.
  • Set up workstation and kitchen with all needed ingredients, cooking equipment, and sanitation stations.
  • Follow the menu accurately as outlined by Magic Memories and Food Program regulations, using only ingredients provided by Magic Memories.
  • Maintain accurate food inventories, check the quality of food, and store items properly as per Health Department guidelines.
  • Be responsible for all mealtime activities, teaching manne rs, cleanliness, and appropriate table behavior through modeling and interaction with children.
  • Classroom Support Provide support across various classrooms, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the smooth operation of the center.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet the individual and group needs of children.
  • Monitor the physical, emotional, and developmental patterns in children and provide appropriate support and care.
  • Transporting Safely transport children to and from designated locations, ensuring their welfare, health, and safety.
  • Comply with all traffic regulations and be familiar with planned routes ahead of time.
  • Maintain a safe driving record for the previous 5 years and ensure the vehicle's compliance with all state regulatory agencies' rules and regulations.
