About The Position

The Childcare Center Director at Palo Alto Community Child Care (PACCC) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Preschool Program. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of children, managing a team of childcare professionals, and providing a nurturing environment that promotes children's development. The Director will work under the guidance of the Regional Coordinator and will be accountable for the quality and success of the program, its students, and staff.

Requirements

  • Completion of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, including Core units (Child Development, Curriculum & Child, Family, Community)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a licensed childcare center
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing childcare centers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of childcare professionals
  • Ability to obtain Child Development Site Supervisor Permit within one year of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Experience working with diverse populations and children with special needs
  • Bilingual

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, enrollment, and other important data

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing childcare centers
