Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in food preparation/cooking (childcare, school, or institutional setting preferred).
• Current food handling certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for supporting the health and well-being of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet children’s dietary and developmental needs.
• Track and manage food allergies for each child and clearly communicate with teachers daily.
• Maintain food safety standards, including proper handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Partner with Center Leadership to order food/supplies and maintain inventory records per state/local requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward children, families, and staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet the daily needs of a busy childcare center.
