About The Position

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Preschool Bus Driver to support our school community! Our drivers play a vital role in ensuring children arrive safely, on time, and in a positive frame of mind to school each day. We are looking for someone who is responsible, attentive, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and care. As a Preschool Bus Driver, you’ll transport children and support our school staff with a warm, professional demeanor while upholding all state regulations and company policies. What You’ll Do: Safely transport children to and from school, field trips, and scheduled activities. Ensure child safety and supervision during loading, unloading, and transit. Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and routine cleaning of the bus/van. Follow all state and local traffic laws, transportation regulations, and school policies. Maintain accurate transportation logs, attendance sheets, and mileage records. Communicate professionally and effectively with families and staff. Support school operations and assist with additional duties when not driving (as assigned).

Requirements

  • Must be at least 25 years old and meet state licensing requirements.
  • Valid state driver’s license in the state in which you are applying.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report review, and any required state screenings.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Friendly, calm, and patient demeanor when working with young children.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior professional driving experience preferred (school, childcare, or commercial driving is a plus).
