About The Position

Make a Difference Before and After the School Bell Rings! Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA for the 2025–2026 school year. Requirements

18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working with children under 13 preferred
Medically cleared of communicable diseases, including TB
Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities
Assisting students with homework
Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment
Serving as a positive role model for children in the program
Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed
Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App
Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed
