About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School in Bethel, PA for the 2025–2026 school year. This role involves working with children, leading engaging activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team to help shape a safe and fun environment where kids can grow and thrive. The position is part-time and non-exempt, located at Bethel Elementary School. It is well-suited for parents seeking a school-aligned schedule, education majors or future teachers looking for hands-on experience, and retirees who enjoy mentoring children. Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience working with children under 13
• Medically cleared of communicable diseases, including TB
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities
• Assisting students with homework
• Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment
• Serving as a positive role model for children in the program
• Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed
• Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App
• Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
• Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed
