Childcare Assistant/Float - Part-time
About The Position
Do you enjoy working with young children and being part of a team that helps them learn and grow? Chambliss Center for Children - Red Bank is looking for a Part-Time Classroom Support Teacher to assist in our early childhood classrooms. In this role, you’ll move between classrooms to help teachers, cover breaks, and support daily activities. You’ll work with children from infant through Pre-K, helping create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, likes working with children, and wants to gain experience in early childhood education. Schedule: Part-time, Monday–Friday, some flexibility with scheduling Location: 1936 Dayton Blvd., Red Bank, TN 37415 Pay: $11/hour – High school diploma, no prior child care experience; $13/hour – CDA credential; Higher pay available based on education and experience
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass a fingerprint background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience with young children preferred
Responsibilities
- Help supervise and care for children throughout the day
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, play, and learning
- Cover classroom breaks and provide support where needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
