About The Position

The Childbirth Educator, Registered Nurse, PRN position at Texas Health Dallas involves providing education and support to community participants regarding childbirth. Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 2 Years of experience in childbirth or adult education required.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required.
• CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire Required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Women’s Services Highly Preferred.
• IBCLC – Lactation Consultant Upon Hire Preferred.
• Other Lamaze, ICEA Upon Hire Preferred.

• Develop, revise and implement curriculum for childbirth education classes.
• Provide hospital infant safety information to patient and/or family member.
• Ensure class content reflects current national standards.
• Schedule classes and have instructors available to meet customer demand.
• Meet department needs by acting as a substitute instructor and/or secure a substitute instructor as necessary.
