Requirements

  • Must possess at least a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Holds licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state where practicing as a professional counselor or social worker.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states as necessary.
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services to clients (training will be provided).
  • Successful completion of background checks including criminal record and driving record.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • First Aid certification within three months of beginning employment.
  • Obtain CPR certification within three months of beginning employment.
  • Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.
  • Sedentary work involving up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, family, and other practical counseling tailored to meet the needs of clients.
  • Complete intake screening and comprehensive assessments within designated time frames.
  • Determine and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments.
  • Develop and individualize treatment plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical staffing meetings and provide feedback on relevant cases.
  • Maintain documentation of all services provided as required by state regulations.
  • Assist clients in the transition process and complete necessary final correspondence.
  • Represent the agency professionally within the community.
  • Handle crisis situations and coordinate emergency services as needed.
  • Facilitate group counseling, family therapy, and specialty services such as trauma therapy.
